Merry Christmas!
We had an awesome Christmas with our little girl! She became quite a master at opening presents and boy did she get a lot of them. We had a white Christmas this year and Siena got to play in the snow and join her cousins in lots of sledding.

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas
The weather has definitely turned more wintery and we are expecting a pretty big storm tomorrow night. We took Siena out sledding and walking in the snow last week and she had a ball. She is definitely not used to this white stuff but is adapting well. She is not so sure about all of the clothes and boots she has to put on but is being a pretty good sport.
We went to Kiana's 2nd birthday party and that was really nice. It is always great fun to see the girls together and catch-up.

1st Tree Trimming
We put up our Christmas Tree today and Siena had a blast. She of course picked up every fragile ornament we have and touched every sharp ornament hook. Luckily we only broke 2 ornaments, and one of them was my fault! :)
It was a nice night of celebrating the season and we have some snow falling to put us in the Christmas spirit.
We also went to Berlin Farms today to visit Santa Claus. Siena took one look at him and said, "NO!" Needless to say we didn't get within 20 feet of him. Maybe next year........

Asa
We lost one of our furry friends today. Asa was a fantastic companion and always wanted to be a lap dog, even though he was 65 pounds! We will miss him soooooooooooooo much and it has been a tough week since we also lost our cat, Lika, on Halloween. They both lived long and happy lives and our house feels empty without them.
This is the last picture we have of Asa on 11/1/09. We are happy that we took it with Siena and Abbey by his side. He loved them both.
The video clip is of Siena walking Abbey that same day. She had fun being dragged around by Abbey.

2nd Birthday!

1st Halloween
We went to Barrington, RI and went trick-or-treating with Luke and Jax. Siena had a blast and kept up with the older kids running door to door. She was a lion and got the roar down very well. The picture we have is of her right as we were starting and not reflective of the time that she had. She had big lion tears at the start....

1st Birthday Gift
Siena got her first Birthday gift in the mail today for her 2nd Birthday- a beautiful silver bracelet with a turquoise stone from Aunt Jeanne and Uncle Roy. Oh yeah, and a Princess song card. Check her out enjoying the card. . .

What a Fun August
We have had a really nice summer and have done a lot this month. Siena started school and is doing well. The drop off tantrums are still occurring but her teachers say that she calms down quickly and is participating in all of the activities which is great to hear.
We spent a bunch of time in RI and got some good beach time in as well as my roommate from college, Lynn, and her family came for a nice visit. We had a good ol' fashion clam boil which was yummy, took a bunch of walks and bike rides on the bike path and hit the beaches.
I am sad that August is coming to an end. I am also back to reality on Monday and headed back to work. I am looking forward to catching up with everyone!

1st Day of School
Siena started daycare today and had a great day. According to her teachers she was helpful, played well with the other kids and participated in all of the activities. When I picked her up she didn't want to leave which is a good sign.
We are starting her out 2 days per week for 4 hours to get her used to the routine and the transition. When I go back to work in a few weeks she will go full-time.
We are hoping that Thursday goes just as well. Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Siena's Crazy Face
When Siena gets excited she makes what we call her, "crazy face." She clenches her fists and jaw and shakes a bit. It is very humorous to us. It obviously doesn't take too much! :)

Lei Lei Loves the Car Seat Box
So we ordered a 2nd car seat so that we would have one for each car. Siena loved playing inside the car seat box and giggled a ton when we would scare her!

Lots of New Fun
We had a really busy week. We hosted a couple of our China families for dinner last Saturday night. It was really nice to see everyone and catch-up over the past month. We can't believe that we have been home one month already with Siena, boy time is flying!
Siena had her first USA doctor's appointment on Monday. Her physical went well but she had to get 3 shots and blood drawn which wasn't pleasant for her or us.
Mid-week we had family come visit us in RI. Siena had fun meeting her Aunt Kate, Uncle Bob and Cousins Amy and Mario. We spent a few days in RI and hit the beach and ate a ton. She got a very cool sprinkler ball gift from them that she loves. She runs up to it and then squeals when the cold water hits her. It is really funny to watch!
