Don't Fall Monkey, Don't Fall!

We spent the week in Stowe, Vermont and had a nice vacation. Stowe received 2 feet of snow and Justin had a blast snowboarding in fresh powder. For the most part we just hung out, did some swimming and ate a ton. It was a nice relaxing week.

One of Siena's favorite things to do is build things and then knock them over. She has a set of legos that she stacks real high and then places a "Little People" monkey on the top. She then taunts the monkey before finally sending him flying. It is really funny to watch and hear her say, "Don't fall monkey, don't fall!" She will do this several times. We finally got it on video and it is even funnier with her pink tutu on!

Lion Dances Oh My!

We went into Chinatown this morning to watch the Lion Dance Parade. It was great fun and a really nice day. We watched the Lion Dancers go to all the restaurant store fronts and be given lettuce and an orange. Then the firecrackers would go off which if you were too near them was very loud! At one point they went off right at our feet which Siena did NOT care for.

We met up with Andrew, Trena, Shay, Quin, Geno and Kiana and went to the China Pearl for Dim Sum. It was yummy!

Year of the Tiger!

Today marks the beginning of the Chinese New Year. 2010 is the year of the Tiger. We started celebrating last weekend by heading into Boston's Chinatown and met up with Kiana, Melanie and Geno. Today we went out to lunch to a local Chinese restaurant (Mandarin Westborough) and we had a lot of fun. The restaurant gave out "Red Envelopes" to all the kids. During the Chinese New Year, children will receive red envelopes from adults (mostly parents and relatives). The red envelope usually contains money and in turn ensures health and prosperity in the upcoming new year.

Siena had a crisp, new $1 bill in her red envelope!

February already

This year seems to be going by so quickly. Siena's vocabulary is improving every day. She continues to surprise us with new words and expressions. She is the ultimate mimic and we have to watch what we say and do in front of her. Here are few pics of her being silly (her usual self). She loves to have her hair pulled up - but it does not stay that way for long. It's Superbowl Sunday and we are pulling for the Saints!

No Cavities!

Siena had her 1st dentist appointment this morning. No cavities and she didn't bite the dentist. Now that is a successful visit!
